FEEVA: uniting European Equine Veterinarians
FEEVA was created in Strasbourg in 1998 when equine veterinary practitioners from different EU countries met to discuss with European Parliament members the issue of medicine regulations concerning horses. Restriction of authorized medicines to treat horses was a thread to horse health and welfare. Since that time, numerous national equine veterinary associations have joined FEEVA to work on all matters related to horse health and welfare throughout Europe together with the need to safeguard public health.
Today FEEVA represents 20 member countries, all representing European horse veterinarians.
